Choice
By: Azza El Wakeel

I'm not a queen of beauty
Nor own like the queen of Sheba
Throne or treasures or money
But I won't be a plaything
You exchange between your hands
Nor a marionette you pull its strings
Whenever you like
When you get bored
Distant from your eyes
Either you include my heart
In your heart
Merge my life with your life
Or leave
I won't seek to use tricks
Like Shehrazade
Won't permit you make me taste
The flavor of sleeplessness
I won't beg your love
I don't want charity
Even if you're the last man
Of human kind
So choose either
Love or leave
Joy or grief
