First Seasons Of Love
By: Azza El Wakeel

I would like to take-off
My schoolgirl's apron
Unbind my talisman
Of infancy
Untie my braid
'Cause after you
I'm no longer young

I would like to discover
In my humanity
As a woman
The female feeling

You man deprived me
From my weapons
Crushed my armies of defense
Defeated my lines of resistance
You stirred my appetite
To taste love
And surrender to the flow of fondness

I would like to enter with you
A cavern of passion
And call its door
To close behind us forever
And drink together
From the pitchers of love
Till the sip of drunkenness
Where the short moment
Becomes long and exciting
Where we discover a unique time
Neither morning
Nor night
When the sun stays beside the moon

You man is so pure
Couldn't be born
By a human being
But by a river

So honest
Couldn't have been fed
By a human being's breast
But with a tree's milk

You man spitted my rock's heart
Without hesitation
When we first met
And burst the falls of my senses
And with you my life
Knows no more weariness

The Distance
By: Azza El Wakeel

As I start leaving you
A fire flames in my heart
Worry accompanies my road
The absence of your voice
Pulls the rug of safety
From underneath my feet
I find myself walking bare-footed
On the thorns of confusion
Being away from you
Makes me suffer
My jealousy causes me dizziness
From all that the distance
Shields from me
Before you I fancied distances
Drawing limits and detachments
With you I'm tending to connect
Without limits
Nor detachments
I hated the distance
I knew when a heart's in love
Distance causes it fatigue
My heart is exhausted
Cannot tolerate farness
Being away from you
Tiered my heart
Makes it feel the reclusion
Of a traveler in a dark night
The forlornness that reaches
Palm trees
Longing beats it
Like horses hoofs
So it targets the sky demanding
If complete happiness on earth
Is an impossible matter?

A Message
By:  Azza El Wakeel

I'm writing to you while sitting
on the earth's surface
Believing that I'm in a powerful
state of mind
Telling you I'm very happy
With you my life is rosy
That I regret I didn't meet you
in my passing years
Didn't spend with you
all my summer vacations
Didn't walk beside you
under the same umbrella
in all my rainy winters
Telling you that the rainbow
we're seeing together
Is much more beautiful
than the one I used to see
by myself
I feel I love you
to such an extent
That I will, alone,
consume the balance of love
left for this world
Then no one will be able
to love after me

At Second Sight
By: Azza El Wakeel

I'm a woman who's concerned
Extremely cares
For her heart
From love at first sight
I have natural immunity
That protects me from drifting
I'm not dazzled by any glamour
Don't open to any knocker
Don't allow my self to be cheated
By living an artificial love
Nor carry in my mind
A false dream
I'm a one-love woman
Saving my heart for one man
That I'll love at second sight
After I verfiy his essence
Be sure he owns the master key
To all my doors
I'm a woman who hates deceit
Wishes permanent love
Not temporary
A man who won't force me
To blow the ending whistle
Nor raise the farewell flag

A Gypsy In A State Of Love
By: Azza El Wakeel

In an ornamented gypsy's dress
My tresses decorated with red roses
My neck and wrists with necklaces
And bracelets of gardenia
The jingling of my anklet
Foregoing to your meeting
Announcing my arriving steps
The sound of my castanets
Echoing in the open space
Whenever I beat my tambour
At the beginning of evening
After the sun departed
Leaving a touch of its setting
On my cheeks
My shyness of meeting you
And my timidity's instinct
The sparkles of stars splitting the sky
The moonlight slipping from concealment
A gypsy in a state of love
Left without an earlier appointment
Sure of my love
Your picture engraved like a tattoo
In my fantasy since birth
Longing for you haunts my insides
Yearning to find you runs in my blood
But after I left to meet you
After waiting so long
After breaking the chains
And overstepping the limits
I woke up from my dream
To discover that my braid
Wasn't yet undone
I was never decorated with red roses
And gardenia
Never ever wore an anklet

Your Voice
By: Azza El Wakeel

I hear your dreamy voice
at all times
Your voice came from wonderland
Came fondling from beyond imagination
Since it came to my life
My sun has remained rising
My moon full
My stars awake at mid-day
Your voice healed my wounds
Cured my pains
Painted my world
Solved the riddle of my existence
I waited long for you
My desert refused to be watered
by other clouds
Remained sincere to your rains
Your voice rebounds in my inside
and my outside
Accompanies me every moment
It spreads an exquisite scent
Surrounds me with warmth
Removes me from the whole world
I love your voice

Before You Say Farewell
By: Azza El Wakeel

Your first cup of love
Tasted sweet
The second bitter
Will the third be killing me?
You; my last amazing stations
My last heart beats
I read that some people
Are like ice
They long for sun warmth
To slip inside them
But are afraid to thaw
Were you an icy man?
Hidden out of fearing me
And preferred to forget!
After you I gathered my sun threads
And drew my eyes with sorrows
Your love changed into an alcohol fall
That pours into my wounded heart
Your memory is the secret
Of my flowing tears
No religion would accept
The pain you're causing me
Come; bring your next cup
Even if it's poisoned
I'm not frightened
I'm filled with desire
To die the most delightful death
If there's some mercy in your heart
Promise me one last wish
Before you say farewell
Make me drunk one more time
From a cup of your sweet happiness

Ambler Gallops In My Blood
By:  Azza El Wakeel

Your love jumped from the unknown
Into my heart like an ambler
Burst galloping in my blood
Leaving its print on every drop
All my barriers of fear
Vanished facing him
Stubbornness smelted
Ambler ruptured a volcano
Of feelings and emotions
I never thought was inside me
Never imagined its image
In my fancy
Ambler dived in my sea
Discovered pearls in the depths
I never dreamed there were shells
In my deep water
Ambler gallops in my blood
Swims in my sea
As if he were racing pulses, age
And moments
